About - Beauty Sleep began with Cheylene Murphy and Ryan McGroarty, who write and produce the songs. It got a bit groovier when Aimee Williamson came in on bass. It got a bit louder when Ross Bickerstaff came in on drums. Having toured around Europe and released singles to critical acclaim from New York to Japan, receiving airplay on BBC Radio One, 6Music and RTE2fm, they released their debut album in May 2019. Titled 'Be Kind,' it offers 10 tracks to inspire, comfort and empower, all while having as much fun as possible.

About the Track - Synthetic Debris was 'the slow song' on our album, but as we can't help ourselves the recording is full of drum machines, samples from childhood home videos and some menacing synths! We love how the recording turned out, but we always wanted to try it a bit more stripped back, so that is what this version is, recorded live in our front room.
The song is about a walk Ryan took with his parents around Moville talking about their history there. We took inspiration from that conversation and wrote a song to the old buildings in Donegal that hold our families generational stories, that are becoming more and more empty, more and more forgotten. But the stories are still there.
